TRIMAG Frequently Asked Questions

What is TRIMAG®?

TRIMAG® is a patented system that allows for the basing or duplication and articulation of dental models in a single step. Its technology standardizes, simplifies, and speeds up the workflow for both physical and digital (CAD/CAM) models.

What is TRIMAG® used for?

It is used to precisely, reproducibly, and universally fix and position dental models, compatible with any physical or virtual articulator previously adapted to the system.

What advantages does it offer over traditional methods?
  1. A single articulator for all your cases.
  2. Time and material savings: less plaster, fewer plates and fewer articulators.
  3. Clean, fast, and reproducible mounting.
  4. Reduced volume and weight of models for transport or archiving.
  5. Ability to reuse the articulator and mounting plates without destroying the setup.
  6. Compatibility with digital workflows and CAD/CAM software.
How does the TRIMAG® system work?

The system uses three magnets embedded in the bases of the models, which are precisely anchored to two articulated plates. These plates maintain a fixed and reproducible relationship in space, allowing the case to be remounted at any time.

Which articulators is it compatible with?

TRIMAG® can be adapted to most articulators on the market using a universal adaptation kit.

Is it also useful in digital dentistry?

Yes. The system is compatible with CAD/CAM environments and allows fixed occlusal relationships to be integrated into dental design software, both with scanned and physical models.

Can models be easily duplicated?

Yes. TRIMAG® allows you to duplicate and articulate models simultaneously, reducing steps and avoiding cumulative errors.

What benefits does it bring to the clinic and the laboratory?

In the lab: saves time, frees up articulators and improves mounting precision.
In the clinic: facilitates checking the fit and occlusion of the received models.

Is it a sustainable product?

Yes. It reduces material consumption, the number of articulators needed, and transport volume, thus lowering the CO₂ footprint.

Who develops TRIMAG®?

TRIMAG® was developed by Ball Head Technology, a company with over 45 years of experience in the dental sector and creator of innovative solutions such as the BHS 30 screw system.
